Grid Connections
TNEB Solar Support & Processing
A detailed guide to understanding TANGEDCO net metering, net feed-in billing models, load feasibility rules, and grid integration steps.
Billing Models
Net Metering vs. Net Feed-in
TANGEDCO solar billing is divided into two primary models depending on the connection category.
Net Metering: Residential connections only. Exports subtract directly from your consumption units. Excess exports carry over to the next billing cycle.
Net Feed-in: For commercial and industrial consumers. All generated solar energy is consumed internally first. Any excess exported energy is purchased by TNEB at a fixed feed-in rate determined by the regulator.
TNEB Limits & Guidelines
- Feasibility Limit: Solar plant capacity is restricted to a maximum of 100% of your sanctioned connection load.
- Transformer Capacity: Feasibility depends on local distribution transformer capacity constraints (limited to 30% of transformer rating). We check this buffer for you.
turnkey approvals
Our Liaison Support Process
Shasha Solar's documentation team manages the complete grid synchronization pipeline.
1. Feasibility Apply
We submit your system drawings and apply for feasibility on the TANGEDCO portal.
2. Sanction & Build
TNEB issues feasibility sanction. We complete the physical installation to code.
3. Stability Uploads
Our engineers submit safety certifications and work completion documents.
4. Net Meter Install
We coordinate meter testing and procurement, and TNEB installs the bi-directional meter.
5. Grid Sync
Local AE executes commission inspection. The system begins feeding power.
Grid Feasibility Check
Check Your Local Grid Feasibility
TNEB connectivity feasibility depends on local transformer limits. Provide your connection details below, and our documentation engineers will check capacity margins on TNEB registers for your street.
