What is the Surya Ghar Scheme?
Launched by the Central Government, the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana aims to solarize 1 Crore households across India. The scheme provides direct financial subsidies covering up to 60% of the rooftop solar installation cost.
To qualify for the subsidy, the customer must install solar through an empaneled vendor (such as Shasha Solar Power Private Limited) and procure TNEB Net Metering connectivity.
